Family rescues bullmastiff lost for 22 days in Oregon wilderness

A family found a big dog alone in the forest and stayed with her all night, feeding her granola bars and giving her a sleeping bag to rest on until rescue crews could help them all get out safely.

ALBANY, Ore. -- A dog that apparently wandered lost in the woods for 22 days has been reunited with her owners. Linn County Sheriff Bruce Riley said Monday that a family out for a hike in the Cascadia area found a weak and hungry Bullmastiff in steep terrain.
